Grand Hotel Paestum, Paestum

I was excited to stay at this hotel, but it had some drawbacks. The location is beautiful with large grounds for hosting weddings, and it's reasonably close to the archaeological park, making it ideal for exploring Cenlento and the ruins. However, the rooms smelled like smoke despite our non-smoking request, and the closest beach was farther than we were told, about 1.5km away. Despite these issues, the staff was a mix of helpful and unsympathetic, even gifting us a bottle of spumante, and the morning dining experience was a bit scarce.
